Brazil Orders Meta to Remove Unauthorized Gambling Ads Within 48 Hours, Gambling Insider
Brazil’s Attorney General’s Office (AGU), via its National Office for the Defense of Democracy, sent Meta an extrajudicial notice ordering the removal within 48 hours of betting and iGaming ads placed by operators not authorized by the Finance Ministry.
The notice cites Law 14,970/2023 and SPA/MF Ordinance 1,207/2024 (authorized sites typically use “.bet.br”) and points to a recent Supreme Court interpretation that platforms can be liable for illicit paid ads if they don’t act diligently. Meta is also urged to stop boosting non-compliant content going forward.
AGA: Americans Bet $673.6B Annually With Illegal Operators, American Gaming Association
A new American Gaming Association analysis estimates U.S. bettors stake $673.6bn a year with illegal or unregulated operators, generating $53.9bn in revenue for them and costing states $15.3bn in lost taxes.
The illegal market’s share is pegged at 31.9% of total U.S. gaming and has grown 22% since 2022, driven by illegal iGaming, unregulated “skill” machines, and persistent offshore sports betting.
BlueBet Fined for Ignoring Harm Red Flags as Customer Lost A$700,000, The Guardian
Australia’s Northern Territory Racing and Wagering Commission fined BlueBet A$53,380 after finding the operator failed to act on multiple markers of harm, including two 11-hour sessions, 18 rapid reload deposits, and VIP inducements.
The customer ultimately lost about A$700,000. The Commission detailed “clear red flag behaviors,” declared subsequent bets “not lawful,” and criticized BlueBet’s VIP handling and record-keeping.
Financial Performance & Business Moves
Bragg Q2 2025: Revenue €26.1m, Investing.com
Bragg reported revenue of €26.1m (+4.9% YoY) with gross profit up 10.8% to €13.7m and margin expanding 280 bps to 52.7%, as proprietary titles rose to 14.8% of revenue (vs. 10.8% a year ago).
Management framed the mix shift, alongside better cash generation, as the core lever for margin improvement. They also guided FY25 revenue to €106.0–108.5m and adjusted EBITDA to €16.5–18.5m, citing further H2 margin gains.
Entain H1 2025: Guidance Raised as UK&I Online Revenue Jumps 21%, NEXT
Entain upgraded FY25 guidance to ~7% Online NGR growth (cc) and introduced Group EBITDA guidance of £1.10–£1.15bn, after H1 Group EBITDA rose 11% to £583m. Total Group NGR, including 50% of BetMGM, rose 10% at constant currency, with BetMGM net revenue up 35%.
UK&I Online NGR climbed 21% (cc) on market-share recovery and stronger player values, while Online EBITDA margin guidance ticked up to 25–26%.
Evoke H1 2025: EBITDA Up 44% as UK Retail Rebounds, SBC News
Evoke posted H1 revenue of £887.8m (+3%) and Adjusted EBITDA of £165.9m (+44%), with International up double-digit (cc) and UK Retail returning to growth in Q2. UK&I Online revenue was slightly lower YoY, but profitability improved (+37% EBITDA).
CEO Per Widerström highlighted “data insights and intelligent automation,” expanding AI and automation teams, and reiterated guidance for 5–9% FY25 revenue growth and ≥20% EBITDA margin while deleveraging to 5.0x.

Greentube (NOVOMATIC Digital) signed a distribution deal with Croatia’s national lottery, Hrvatska Lutrija, integrating via Bragg’s aggregation platform in collaboration with Intralot. The agreement gives the state lottery access to a broader library of Greentube digital slots.
The first wave features classic titles like Book of Ra™ deluxe, Sizzling Hot™ deluxe, and Lucky Lady’s Charm™ deluxe, strengthening Greentube’s regulated footprint in Croatia. Greentube framed these as iconic, CEE-favorite franchises anchoring its regional expansion.
BoyleSports to Sponsor TNT Sports’ Premier League Coverage in 2025/26, Gambling Insider
Irish bookmaker BoyleSports was named the sponsor of TNT Sports’ Premier League coverage for 2025/26 as part of its £100m UK push. That push also includes opening 200+ new shops and tech upgrades under a wider UK relaunch.
The move follows its West Ham United shirt deal and comes with TNT broadcasting 52 live PL matches this season, alongside expanded FA Cup and UEFA coverage. The broadcast tie-in is aimed at boosting brand awareness and acquisition during high-reach weekend fixtures.

Study Finds E-Sabong Still Thriving on Illegal Platforms, The Philippine Star
A new report by Filipino research firm The Fourth Wall finds online cockfighting persists on unregulated sites despite the December 2022 nationwide ban. Operators promoted events via social platforms and messaging groups.
The study flags player-protection risks outside PAGCOR protocols and ongoing enforcement challenges. It urges tighter platform cooperation and more aggressive enforcement to disrupt access and payments.
Dutch Regulator Warns TonyBet for Offering Prohibited Ballon d’Or Markets, SBC News
The Dutch gambling authority (Kansspelautoriteit) issued a formal warning to TonyBet for offering bets on award outcomes determined by juries. The bets include the Ballon d’Or winner and the Club World Cup Golden Ball, which are not permitted under Dutch rules.
TonyBet said no wagers were taken before removal and pledged to tighten controls on third-party feeds, while the KSA reminded licensees they remain responsible for all listed markets.
