Colorado Sends Sports Betting Reform Bill to Governor, iGamingToday
Colorado lawmakers approved a sports betting reform bill and sent it to Governor Jared Polis for final approval. The legislation includes changes to tax allocations tied to sports betting revenue, with more funding expected to support water conservation projects across the state.
The legislation includes deposit limits requiring sportsbooks to temporarily block users after six deposits within 24 hours, while also banning the use of credit cards to fund betting accounts. Lawmakers removed an earlier proposal to ban prop bets before final passage after heavy opposition from operators and sports leagues.
Minnesota Passes Prediction Market Ban in Public Safety Bill, Gambling Insider
Minnesota lawmakers approved a ban on prediction markets through a broader omnibus public safety bill. The measure prohibits the operation of event-based prediction contracts that regulators and lawmakers believe resemble unlicensed sports betting.
The bill specifically targets platforms such as Kalshi and Polymarket and would make certain prediction market activity a felony offense beginning August 1, 2026. The legislation now heads to Governor Tim Walz.
Philippines Blocks Gambling Sites on Government Wi-Fi, iGamingToday
The Philippines began blocking gambling websites and online betting platforms across government-operated Wi-Fi networks. Authorities said the restriction is intended to prevent access to gambling services on public infrastructure used by government employees and citizens.
The order was implemented through the Department of Information and Communications Technology and applies to public internet services managed by the state. Officials said the move is part of wider efforts to tighten oversight of online gambling access in the country.

Digitain strengthened its expansion plans in Romania through a new partnership with WinBet. The agreement will see the operator integrate Digitain’s sportsbook technology as the company continues growing its presence across regulated European markets.
WinBet will use Digitain’s turnkey sportsbook solution, including managed trading services and localised betting content tailored for the Romanian market. Romania remains one of the more active regulated betting markets in Eastern Europe.
U.S. Gaming Revenue Reaches Record $78.6B, Yogonet
U.S. commercial gaming revenue reached a record $78.6 billion in 2025, according to data released by the American Gaming Association. The figures were driven by continued growth in sports betting and iGaming, alongside stable performance from traditional casino operations.
Alongside the revenue report, the AGA warned that prediction markets could undermine regulated sports betting frameworks if left unchecked. The organization argued that event-based contracts tied to sports outcomes raise integrity and consumer protection concerns.

DraftKings Adds Combos and New Fees to Prediction Platform, Gambling Insider
DraftKings introduced combo-style betting options and a new fee structure for its prediction market platform. The update allows users to combine multiple prediction contracts into a single entry, similar to parlay betting formats commonly used in sportsbooks.

Ukraine’s regulator PlayCity launched a centralized state-run monitoring platform designed to track gambling transactions across licensed operators. The system is intended to improve oversight, transparency, and tax reporting within the country’s regulated gambling sector.
The platform will track every gambling transaction in real time, including bets, payouts, and player activity across licensed operators. Officials said the system is designed to improve tax collection and help identify suspicious or illegal gambling activity more quickly.

ANJ Says Excessive Gamblers Generate 60% of Online GGR, iGB
France’s gambling regulator ANJ said a new algorithmic study found that excessive gamblers account for roughly 60% of online gross gaming revenue. The regulator used behavioral analysis tools to identify patterns associated with high-risk gambling activity across licensed platforms.
ANJ said the findings highlight the financial dependence some operators may have on vulnerable players. The regulator plans to use the data to strengthen player protection measures and improve oversight of responsible gambling practices.
AskGamblers Returned $10.7m to Players Through Complaints Service, NEXT
AskGamblers said its casino complaint service helped return $10.7 million to players during 2025. The platform handled thousands of disputes between players and online casinos, with successful cases involving delayed withdrawals, account verification issues, and bonus-related disagreements.
AskGamblers said more than 7,000 complaints were successfully resolved during the year through its mediation system. Gamblers also noted that response times and dispute resolution rates improved compared to previous years.
UK Launches Largest Gambling Harms Research Centre, NEXT
The UK launched what is being described as the country’s largest research centre focused on gambling harms and addiction. The initiative brings together academics, healthcare experts, and policy specialists to study gambling-related behavior and treatment strategies.
The centre will focus on areas including mental health impacts, prevention tools, and long-term gambling behaviour patterns. Researchers said the goal is to provide evidence-based data that can help shape future gambling policy and public health responses.
